What in the ever loving hell? Hemant’s right, if this happened with any other religion, the xtian right would have flipped it’s collective shit filled brain.
But where were the parents during all of this? I know xtians that would think this form of bribery (for a passing grade no less) is completely wrong. My mother, who has a degree in education, works as a school administrator, and is very xtian, thinks that this is wrong.
So again, where were the parents? A teenager afraid of failing a class very likely would be to scared to stand up against this. Sie would be more afraid of his parents’ reaction to failing than anything, and would agree to read anything to avoid it. Playing on this fear to indoctrinate someone into xtianity is disgusting and very, very illegal.
But because it’s xtianity, no one fucking cares.

So, this kid became a Christian, right? And he didn’t feel “convicted” to go back to the teacher and receive the grade he had EARNED instead of cheating? Or was the new grade some twisted interpretation of “grace”?
Yuck. Yuck yuck yuck.
Wow. I can only imagine what would happen if a teacher told their students they would all pass the class if they accepted Allah as their god or read the entire Qu’ran over the summer.
