Submitter DammitJean (who gave me permission to use her name) says, “Apparently a poll is going around on Facebook, asking if feminism has “destroyed the family.” This particular young man believes so, but even more baffling than his ignorant stance on the issue is his inability to understand how a female friend of his could disagree. As you can see, a couple guys slammed him for it as well. That’s sort of comforting.
I was tempted to weigh in by answering “No” on the poll, but then I realized that if there is still contention over whether or not equality for women can coexist with happy, functioning families, then everyone is losing.
